Summary
The story begins with Tarannum’s heartfelt wish to be blessed with a baby girl, whom she lovingly calls her “little fairy.” During childbirth, doctors inform the family that either the mother or the baby can survive. Tarannum chooses to sacrifice her life to save her daughter.
After her death, Amreen convinces Sheeza’s brothers—Adil, Sahir, and Raheel—that Sheeza is responsible for their mother’s passing. As a result, Sheeza grows up facing cruelty and injustice in her own home.
As Sheeza becomes older, Amreen attempts to forcibly marry her to her useless son, Nasir. At this critical time, Sheeza’s aunt Tabain arrives from Canada. Seeing Sheeza’s condition, she takes her to Canada with her.
There, Sheeza discovers her mother’s diary and learns how deeply her mother loved her. She also finds out that her mother wished for Sheeza to marry Tabain’s son, Zameer. Tabain arranges Sheeza and Zameer’s marriage.
Later, when Sheeza returns to Pakistan, her brothers try to force her into marriage with Nasir. At the moment of the wedding ceremony, Zameer arrives and presents their legal marriage papers, taking Sheeza away with him. In the end, Tabain shows the brothers Tarannum’s diary, and they finally realize their grave mistake. They apologize to Sheeza and once again accept her as their beloved “Pari.” The novel concludes with happiness for all characters and a successful married life for Sheeza and Zameer.
